Challenge Day to return to BHS Sept. 11-13
A Bellefontaine City Schools official who last month entered his 40th year of service for the district was issued a “flawless” annual evaluation during the board of education’s Monday evening meeting.
Members said Treasurer Keith Krieger, who was first hired by the district July 16, 1979, will continue to work for BCS through his current retire/rehire arrangement, with a contract that continues through July 31, 2019.
His salary is tied to the administrative salary schedule, which was previously approved for a 1.375 percent increase this fiscal year. With that increase, his new salary is $98,566 and he remains at step 5, the treasurer reported.
“His unparalleled experience and proven commitment to the fiscal health of the district make Keith an invaluable asset to Bellefontaine City Schools and the community of Bellefontaine, as he continues to handle taxpayer funds with the highest of ethical and professional standards,” members said in a prepared release.
“Keith is an absolute gem and we are blessed to have him as our treasurer. He has the full confidence and support of the board.”
