On the heels of a visit by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, representatives of the Transportation Research Center took their approach to autonomous and connected vehicle technology to the nation’s capital, the company reports.
TRC officials, along with industry experts from The Ohio State University, Honda and Wind River engaged members and staff of the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce during a visit late last week, according to a press release.
The 4,500-acre East Liberty testing facility is developing a 540-acre Smart Mobility Advanced Research and Test Center that is slated for completion by October.
