Nakia Bailey, 43, of Kenton, was charged Saturday with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Around 2:40 a.m., he was observed northbound on north Main Street near Reynolds Avenue and his vehicle traveled across the yellow line.
Upon speaking with the motorist, an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and noted the motorist’s slurred, slow speech and inability to understand the officers at times.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was impaired by alcohol. He refused to provide a breathalyzer sample.
The officer noted the motorist has four OVI convictions in 10 years and five within the past 20.
More charges are possible.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Both were passengers in a sport utility vehicle stopped for a stop sign violation. Clem voluntarily turned over a pipe with marijuana residue and a bag of marijuana.
A bag with marijuana and prescription bottle with Ward’s name and four pills matching the prescription were found inside the vehicle.
The bottle also had fifth prescription pill that did not match.
