Robert W. Foughty, 67, of 212 1/2 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, was charged Tuesday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for a marked lanes violation.
He was observed driving a southbound pickup truck that crossed the centerline in the 1700 block of south Main Street around 11 p.m.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department detected an odor of alcohol and field sobriety tests indicated he was under the influence of alcohol. He was unable to provide adequate breath samples to record a blood alcohol content level.

• Kyle Jester, 24, of 260 N. Mill St., DeGraff, was arrested Sunday for assault while Alexis Stewart, 34, of 108 Walnut St., Quincy, was arrested for possession of cocaine and a probation violation during a 3:55 p.m. traffic stop.
A warrant check showed Mr. Jester was wanted on a warrant and a check of the vehicle produced a plastic baggie with white pills and powdery substance stuffed between the rear seat cushions.
It was the seat occupied by Mr. Stewart.
Both were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Aeryton Erwin, 20, of 1000 Park Road, was charged with possession of marijuana and cited for driving the wrong way on a one-way street in a 6:40 p.m. traffic stop Saturday.
He was observed southbound in the 400 block of north Park Street and was stopped by officers.
They detected an odor of marijuana and found a small amount in the rear seat of the vehicle.
Two charged with trespassing
William Dolan Jr., 41, at large, was charged with criminal trespassing and William Dolan III, 22, of 214 Pratt St., Apt. 3, was charged Thursday with criminal trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Around 1 p.m., they were found at Heritage Court apartment as officers were trying to locate a 14-year-old girl.
The Dolans have been banned from the apartment complex and the younger Dolan was found hiding in a bedroom closet. The girl was found under a pile of blankets.
The girl was returned to her mother.
Neighbor charged with theft
Robert L. Castle, 52, of 515 Walker St., was charged Friday with theft.
He allegedly stole an air compressor, a drill bit set, two electric drills and a screwdriver set from the 521 Jay Ave. residence of his neighbor Aaron E. Wright over a several-month period.
He admitted pawning the tools.
Mother charged
Susan Carnahan, no age given, of 405 E. Chillicothe Ave., was charged Sunday with endangering children.
Officers went to her residence to check on her three-year-old son around 2:20 a.m. after his out-of-town father called police dispatchers.
Cory Lehman told officers he received a phone call from his son, reporting his mother had fallen. Mr. Lehman suspected she had been drinking heavily.
Officers tried for one hour to rouse her before forcing their way into the residence.
They found her and the boy asleep. They were able to awaken Ms. Carnahan who was intoxicated.
A sister-in-law was able to come to the house to watch over the boy until the suspect sobered up.
