Derrick Hernandez, 32, of Grove City, was charged with felony possession of drugs, along with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana related to a Monday evening traffic stop.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department on patrol in the area of U.S. Route 33 and Township Road 94 about 10 p.m. observed a vehicle with no rear window and sparks flying from the vehicle due to the exhaust dragging on the ground. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and crack cocaine, marijuana and a crack cocaine pipe were recovered. Hernandez was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
