The opening night of harness racing at the Logan County Fair had no shortage of notable performances Tuesday.

A new track record was set, a driver recorded four wins and many local horses fared well on the first of two evenings of racing at this year’s fair.
In the 11th and second-to-last race of the night, Bud High drove Count Full Mac to a new trot record time of 2:00. The previous mark was 2:01 3/5.
A Cardington resident, High also owns and trains the horse. It paid $13.80 for the win. The record-setting victory came in a Signature Series trot for four-year-olds and up.
