Timothy Allen Lykins, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday evening, Nov. 27, 2020, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Timothy was born on June 20, 1952 in Petersville, Ky., a son of the late Forrest E. and Helen V. Mustard Lykins.
Tim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Teresa McMillen, three children, T.J. Lykins, Kandace Knight, and Lindsey Lykins, three stepchildren, Leslie (Mike) Duncan, Jamie Cordell, and Steven McMillen, six siblings, Sharan (Tom) Nuss, Karen (Terry) Bothel, Patty (Samuel) Everhart, Deborah Morris, Becky (Ed) Cooper, and Terry (Chris) Lykins, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Tim was a 1970 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was an electrician by trade and worked maintenance for Lamplight Court in Bellefontaine. Tim was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed reading, was a naturalist and bird enthusiast. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking them hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms, or growing flowers in his garden especially his prize sunflowers. Tim was always eager to help others and will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m.. Due to state Covid-19 pandemic guidelines, attendees are asked to be symptom free and wear a facial covering.
