West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball team put together a strong first-half effort and held on over the final two quarters to grab a 52-44 non-league victory over visiting Ft. Loramie.
It was a big season-opening win for the Tiger. Ft. Loramie was a Division IV regional finalist last season.
The Tigers dominated the first quarter with a 20-12 effort. The Tigers edged the Redskins 9-3 in the second quarter to build a 29-15 lead at halftime.
