After weathering some brief storms, West Liberty-Salem’s track and field teams were able to get the postseason under way Tuesday at the Division III district meet at Piqua.

The Tigers qualified athletes to the regional meet on both the boys and girls teams, while several other area athletes placed in field events.
The Division III district meet concludes Saturday at Alexander Stadium with field events starting at 10 a.m. and running finals beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The top eight times in Tuesday’s preliminary races advanced to Saturday’s finals. The top four placers in each event qualify to the regional meet next weekend in Troy.
WL-Salem’s girls advanced to the regionals in the 3,200 relay with the team of Reghan Bieleski, Madison Bahan, Grace Adams and Katelyn Stapleton. The group took third with a time of 10:04.4.
