West Liberty-Salem’s softball team began its season with a convincing 7-1 victory over visiting Lima Bath on Monday in non-league action.

The Tigers built a 3-1 lead after four innings, and then pulled away with a three-run fifth inning.
WL-Salem added one more run in the sixth inning.
Kelsey Day earned the win in the pitching circle for the Tigers. She also sparked the winners at the plate, going 2-4 with a double and an RBI.
Also for the Tigers, Kylie Gilroy went 2-4, Dierdre McGill went 2-3 and Olivia Ames added two RBI.
