A 14-year-old Bellefontaine boy was mildly injured Wednesday after he rode his bicycle into the path of a car.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department reports Noah Conner had an abrasion to his left arm. He was standing upon the officer’s arrival.
A Bellefontaine squad responded and the teen walked to the squad for evaluation. He did not require additional medical attention and was taken home by his father.
The officer reports he was on patrol eastbound in the 500 block of west Sandusky Avenue around 5:50 p.m. A car in front of him turned left onto Walker Street.
The officer heard tires squealing and a loud thump. He quickly turned around and activated his emergency lights.
Raymond Walters, 33, of Urbana, was driving the car and told the officer he did not see the teen westbound on the sidewalk.
The officer concluded the crash was unavoidable and did not cite the motorist nor the teen.
