Jesse R. Fry, 31 of Russells Point, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony, as a result of a traffic stop just before midnight Thursday.
Officers of the Russells Point Police Department on patrol stopped a gray Acura sedan operated by Fry having only one working headlight.
When asked, the defendant denied having anything illegal in the vehicle and consented to a search. Officers located a cigarette pack under the driver’s seat, containing a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and a clear plastic bag containing approximately 4.5g of a white crystal substance.
Fry admitted the items belonged to him and reportedly said the substance was methamphetamine. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
At the time of the stop, officers note that Fry was out on bond for a previous possession charge through the Logan County Court of Common Pleas.
