Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department issued a summons to a man Tuesday afternoon for entering onto the property of Heritage Court Apartments against the wishes of apartment management.
Robert William Keene Jr., 22, of 520 Oak St., Bellefontaine, was located after officers responded about noon to 1000 Heritage Court in reference to the suspect coming and going from the property.
Apartment manager Michelle Dean told police she provided the suspect written notification May 17 that he was to stay off the property. She also confronted him, and asked him to leave Tuesday when he showed up on the property.
Mr. Keene acknowledged entering the Heritage Court Apartment complex after being told to leave, and he was issued the summons for criminal trespass.
Break-in, theft of coins reported from car wash
Police are investigating a report of a break-in at Bellefontaine Car Wash, 346 N. Hayes St.
Officers responded to the business about 1 p.m. Tuesday on a call from two patrons who reported a maintenance room door had been pried open.
Officers also found coin machines had been pried open and the money taken.
Investigation continues into the break-in.
