GRANDI |
Korey Grandi, 29, address at large, was charged with felony counts of aggravated burglary and abduction and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest following an incident early Sunday morning.
A deputy of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office who was on patrol in the Lakeview area was waved over at 470 S. Main St. by Geoffrey A. Baird, 32, of Columbus. He reported that a male subject identified as Mr. Grandi had forced entry into the residence.
Deputies went to the residence and heard a man yelling and a woman crying. Deputies made entry and identified Mr. Grandi and resident Ciera M. Nichol, 29.
Ms. Nichol reported that the defendant had forced entry into her residence and assaulted her. She explained that he would not let her leave the residence and also had threatened Mr. Baird.
Mr. Baird reportedly was able to flee and was calling 911 as he saw a deputy drive by the area.
Mr. Grandi told deputies he lived at the address, but Ms. Nichol disputed that claim.
The defendant resisted deputies’ efforts to place him under arrest. He eventually was taken into custody and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Ms. Nichol reportedly did not suffer any injury as a result of this incident.
