Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department cited a motorist for possessing an open container of alcohol following an 8:30 p.m. traffic stop Friday at the intersection of north Main Street and Sandusky Avenue.
A vehicle driven by Tyler Hodge, 27, of Kenton, reportedly had only one functioning brake light, and officers on patrol initiated a traffic stop.
An open container of alcohol was observed and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.
A small amount of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle, along with suspected paraphernalia.
The suspected drugs and pipe were confiscated into evidence and destroyed.
Hodge was issued a summons for the open container of alcohol.
