Sue A. Jarrels, 80, of Anna, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 29, 1937, in Marion, Ind., to the late Clyde and Thelma Allison Miller.
Sue is survived by significant other, Ned Wierwille of Anna; children, Kathy (Alan) Platfoot of New Bremen, Sherry (David) Nighteagle of Mancos, Colo., Chris Platfoot of Anna and Carol (Chris) Marlow of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Phil Miller of Sidney; and sister-in-law, Mariom Miller.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Orville Platfoot and Benjamin Jarrels, and brother, Jim Miller. Sue was of the Christian faith.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sidney High School. She graduated from the Springfield Community Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She was a retired RN and director of Franklin Nursing Home in Sidney. She loved OSU sports, Go Bucks, and was an avid fan.
She enjoyed crafts, horseracing, rodeos and spending time with her family and friends.
Friends and family gather for a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders through arrangements by Adams Funeral Home in Sidney.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice in St. Marys in Sue’s memory.
