Blanche Leininger, 105, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Lakeview, passed away, early Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Logan Acres Care Center.
Blanche was born Feb. 24, 1912, in Jackson Center, a daughter of the late William and Lasha Bailey Forsythe. On March 1, 1933, she married Lester Leininger and he preceded her in death April 10, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Glick, three brothers, Guy, John and Roy Forsythe; and a grandson, Paul Snyder.
Blanche is survived by two children, Phyllis (George) Snyder of Uniontown and Don A. (Sandy) Leininger of Spring Branch, Texas; four grandchildren, Corbin Leininger, Jay Leininger, Cathy Guerraand Mark Snyder, eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great -grandchild.
Blanche was a 1930 graduate of Jackson Center High School, attended Northwestern Business College and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lakeview. She was a member of Indian Lake Chapter 554 and Bellefontaine Chapter 459, Order of the Eastern Star, for more than 50 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Lester and loved being with her family and friends.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Shoffstall Funeral Home North Chapel, 115 N. Main St., Lakeview, where the funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4. Pastor David Moore officiates and burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
