A Riverside High School freshman was charged with delinquency felony assault after he attempted to choke a teacher.
Cullen M. Inderriedan, 15, of rural Sidney, was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Juvenile Detention Center.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were called to the school at 2:30 p.m. and talked with Superintendent Scott Mann and the student.
Cullen allegedly wanted to begin his test soon after entering the classroom and the teacher told him to wait until the other students were in and seated.
The student then attempted to close the door and was told to be patient and sit down.
He approached the teacher and put his arm around the man’s neck.
The teacher broke free when Cullen began to tighten the grip around the teacher’s neck.
