Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are investigating a reported break-in and assault that occurred around 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at Latiana Sisson’s 450 Kristina Drive, Apt. 15D, residence.
A named male suspect kicked open the door, damaging the jamb and frame, and allegedly attack Tasha Deboard and Kyle Poe who were visiting.
• Noah Taylor of Bellefontaine reported today he was assaulted by a named male suspect while trying to visit a friend late Wednesday at 604 Florence Ave. Officers took photographs of his injuries.
• Michael Swearengin, of Bellefontaine, an employee of Rax Roast Beef, 1130 N. Main St., said a male suspect came into the restaurant around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday and complained his daughter was sold one too many sandwiches.
When Mr. Swearengin would not refund the suspect any money, he threw the sandwich at the victim and fled.
