Riverside Schools students Ethan Jackson, John Zumberger, Kale Long and Sierra Snow recently organized a coin drive in grades kindergarten through 12 for their Lead4Change project. In total, the students raised $1,098.78 for the Logan County Cancer Society, which was presented to Tammy Allison from the Mary Rutan Foundation, center. The Lead4Change Student Leadership Program is a leadership curriculum with a framework for community service. The Logan County Cancer Society is administered by the Mary Rutan Foundation and offers financial assistance to Logan County residents with a cancer diagnosis to cover expenses such as medication, equipment, supplies, wigs and other items, including gas cards to help with treatment-related travel costs.
