Stephen T. Hale, 69, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was born to Philip and Eileen Hale on Nov. 16, 1952.
Upon his graduation from high school in 1971, Stephen joined the US Army where he proudly served his country in the prestigious Army Security Agency at various posts until his honorable discharge in 1977.
After his service to his country, Stephen began an illustrious career as a peace officer. He served in every aspect of law enforcement; as a deputy, detective, and investigator for over 30 years.
Stephen was a gifted artist whose paintings and drawings adorn the walls and mantles of many, many homes and businesses. He was the son, father, brother, cousin, and friend that anyone could hope to have. His intellect, humor, and wit were infectious.
Stephen leaves behind to cherish his memory; children, Steve Hale, Jr of OH, Christopher Hale of Miamisburg, OH, and Sarah Daniel of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his mother Eileen Hale of West Liberty, OH; his siblings, Patricia Whilding of Newark, OH, Cynthia Hale and Gary Heath of Bellefontaine, OH, First Sergeant (ret.) Joseph and Lisa Hale of Chapmanville, WV, and James and Lisa Hale of Xenia, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father, Philip E. Hale; brother, Sergeant Major (ret.) Jon M. Hale and his wife Regina; and nephew, Justin Hale McKeehen.

Celebration of Life will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, at Jennings Farley and Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 U.S. Route 68, West Liberty, Ohio.
