Calvary Christian’s soccer team handled the defending Ohio Christian School Athletic Association state champions Tuesday by defeating Mansfield Temple Christian 8-2.

The win improves the Spartans to 5-0 on the season. The Spartans were the state runners-up to Mansfield Temple last year.
Tyler Reinhard powered Calvary’s attack with three goals and an assist, Josh Kilgore had two goals, Clayton Slemmons had one goal and Chris Myers scored once on a corner kick.
