Daniel R. May, 55, of 509 W. Columbus Ave., Apt. 4, was charged Thursday with felony domestic violence after he reportedly threatened his 75-year-old mother, Diane Gerber.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department arrived at the residence around 12:55 a.m. and met with both. Gerber was frightened and told them she feared May would hit her as he has in the past.
May was extremely intoxicated, officers report, and denied he threatened his mother.
He was arrested when he became agitated with officers.
The report noted May had convicted in 2007 and 2008 on separate domestic violence charges and in 2011 on two felony counts of domestic violence.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Fake bills found in deposit
Wednesday, employees at KFC, 817 S. Main St., reported two counterfeit $20 bills were used during Monday’s transactions. Bank officials notified the local restaurant when the bill’s were found in a deposit.
Hoverboard reported stolen
Walker Evans, 552 Cooper Ave., reported Tuesday his hoverboard was stolen from the drive of his residence. He told officers he left the board behind and went to visit with a neighbor. When he returned at 8:30 p.m., it was gone.
