Bellefontaine’s varsity softball team went 1-1 in a doubleheader against visiting Wapakoneta on Saturday.
The Chiefs lost the opener 12-6, but rebounded for an 11-8 win in the second game. Bellefontaine is now 5-3 on the season.
Offensively for BHS in the first game, Kassi Prine went 3-4 with a double, Airiana Young went 3-3, Alexza Clifton went 2-3 with a triple, Ellie Mitchell went 2-4 and Averie Vigansky went 2-4 with a double.
In game two, Young went 3-4 with a double, Mitchell went 3-5, Emma Crabtree went 2-3 and Vigansky went 2-3.
The Chiefs are back in action today at Jonathan Alder.

Lakers take two from Lima Shawnee
Indian Lake’s softball team dominated Lima Shawnee in a doubleheader Saturday. Both games were five innings.
The Lakers won 10-0 in the opener and prevailed 20-3 in the second game. Madison Brentlinger fired a one-hitter in the first game. She struck out three and walked none.
Offensively for the Lakers, Halle Roby went 3-4 with a home run and five RBI, Mackenzie Dixon went 2-2, Katie Roby had a home run and three RBI and Brentlinger added a triple.
In game two, Halle Roby worked two innings of one-hit ball to get the win in the pitching circle for the Lakers.
The Indian Lake offense pounded out 19 hits. Dixon went 4-4 with a double and three RBI, Brentlinger went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Haylee Edwards went 3-4, Abigail Elliott went 2-3 with a double and three RBI, Annie Rapp went 3-3, Halle Roby went 2-4 with two RBI and Kayleigh Zedlitz went 4-4 with a double and three RBI. The Lakers play at Northwestern today.

Raiders sweep Celina
Benjamin Logan’s softball team beat host Celina 11-3 and 8-4 in a double-header Saturday. The Raiders are now 3-2 on the season.
In the opener, Brooks Myers led the way at the plate for the Raiders, going 2-3 with a double and three RBI. Keeli Rostorfer and Bailee Stover each had two hits and combined for three RBI.
Adilynne Gregg was the winning pitcher. She allowed six hits and struck out 10.
In game two, Courtney Bowers had a double, home run and four RBI to lead the Raiders. Kyndal Cronkleton went 3-4, Stover had a double and an RBI and Rostorfer had two hits.
Chloe Crumm earned the win in the pitching circle. She allowed three hits and struck out eight. Ben Logan plays at Springfield Shawnee today.

Pirates zap Triad
Riverside used the strength of a 10-run third inning to cruise past visiting Triad 15-3 in five innings on Saturday.
The Pirates are now 3-2 on the season. Triad drops to 0-5.
After two scoreless innings, Riverside piled up 10 runs in the third inning.
Triad scored three runs in the top of the fourth to make it 10-3, but the Pirates answered with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to lead 15-3.
Riley Dillon was the winning pitcher. She worked 3 1/3 innings, allowing just one hit.
She stuck out one and walked seven while giving up two earned runs.
Offensively for the Pirates, Riley Dillon went 2-3 with an RBI, Taylor Dillon had a double, Jaidyn Jackson had a double, Avery Perk went 3-3 with two RBI and Kaitlyn Schlumbohm went 2-4 with a double and three RBI. The Pirates play at Covington today.
