The issue of bullets ricocheting from the shooting range at the West Mansfield Conservation Club is the main topic of a 7:30 p.m. Wednesday meeting of the West Mansfield Village Council.
In recent weeks, there have been reports of bullets traveling off the property, with one reportedly striking a meter at the village wastewater treatment facility, which is located east of the range and is a workplace for three village employees, West Mansfield Mayor Kim Kerns reports. There also have been bullets found around the nearby railroad tracks and adjoining farmland.
The purpose is not to close the range, but to determine what safety measures can help prevent injuries, the mayor said.
