Shirley A. Partington, 81, of Jackson Center, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Wapak Manor.
She was born in Shelby County on Sept. 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Oliver and Iva Helmlinger Foote.
On June 23, 1979, she married John Partington and he preceded her in death June 18, 1986.
She is survived by daughters, Kay (Doug) Burch of Jackson Center, Vicki (Rick) Powell of Lakeview, Angie (Walt) Gill of Loveland and Jodi (Billy) Eagan of Virginia; her grandchildren, Josh (Robin) Burch, Chad (Jill) Burch, Chris (Julie) Powell, Jaime (Bill Nevers) Powell, Connor Gill and Tommy, Timmy, Summer, Autumn and Nick; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Jenkins, Judy (Chet) Sosby and Cheryl Swaney, all of Jackson Center; a brother, Marvin (Joyce) Foote of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins, all whom she loved.
Shirley was a longtime member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Montra, and worked as a parts manager for Airstream Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 2000. She loved to go out to dinner with her sisters and also enjoyed reading and traveling. She was an avid fan of Ohio State University football and basketball.
Pastor David Sanders officiates a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 7714 Montra Road, Jackson Center. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike St., Jackson Center. Burial is in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
