Shirley A. Jorgensen, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2016, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in Black Eagle, Mont., on Feb. 22, 1930, to the late Joseph and Frances Ferguson Varelia. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Swingley.
She worked as a dispatcher for 20 years at Montana Power. She was raised Catholic and attended Blessed Sacrament Church in Black Eagle. She enjoyed crafts, ceramics, crocheting, sewing and cooking.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Wally (Susie) Jorgensen of Spring Brach, Texas, and Dale (Cindy) Jorgensen of Belle Center; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Stenson of Spokane, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass begins at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 328 E. Patterson Ave, Bellefontaine, with Father Dennis Caylor officiating. Burial is in Middleburg Cemetery.
