She was born on May 27, 1936, in Eaton, the youngest of five daughters of Earl and LenoreBennington. Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Hugh Miller, whom she married 64 years ago.
Sherry is also survived by her daughter Nancy (Andy) Williams, son John (Jane) Miller, son Tom (Laura) Miller, and daughter in-law, Teresa Miller; eleven grandchildren, Michael Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer, Drew (Emma) Williams, Chris (Kallan) Williams, Ellen Williams, Patrick Miller, Jennifer (Will) Garner, Eric Miller, Jessica (Blake) Reynolds, Alex Miller, and Jacob Miller, a nephew and many nieces.
She was preceded in death by her son Mark and daughter Susan, as well as siblings Pat (Dave) Newell, Claire (Robert) MacDonald, Jean (Eldrin) Scales, and Shirley (Richard) Caldwell.
Sherry was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband’s home building and remodeling business. She taught Sunday school at First United Methodist Church and was employed as a teacher’s assistant at Pine Avenue Elementary School. Her last job before retirement was in advertising at Super Foods.
Her entire family benefitted from her fabulous cooking and baking skills, which brought her great joy. She loved simple things: quiet mornings with her husband, flowers, reading, antiquing with family and friends, and the many pets they had throughout the years. There are numerous fond memories of beach vacations, holidays, and family reunions.
Sherry’s passion was her entire extended family, for whom she had an endless well of love. She couldn’t wait to hear about and celebrate every little thing, for her children, her grandchildren, and anyone else she knew. Sherry had the gift of making everyone feel like the most important person in the world. She will be dearly missed.
