Sheldon Miller “Shel” Lahr, 70, of Lakeview, passed away at LeConte Medical Center, Sevierville, Tennessee, on Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021.

Shel retired in 2014, as Vice President of Manufacturing at Engineered Wire Products in Upper Sandusky. He had also previously worked with the Wyandot County Sheriff Dept and EMS. Most recently, he was the owner and operator of “The Landing Tavern” in Russells Point, until 2017. He loved to vacation – fall trips for nearly 20 years to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and his trips to the Florida Keys. Shel enjoyed boating, riding his Honda Goldwing and his golf cart. He spent his life making people laugh and helping those less fortunate than him, never expecting anything in return. He had a big heart and loved joking around, loved life, and loved his family. He will be missed by many.
Per his request, there will be no formal service, however, a celebration of Shel’s life will be held at “The Landing Tavern” on Sunday, November 21, at 1 p.m.
