Shady Bowl Speedway hosted its annual Farmers Night on Saturday with six divisions of stock cars and saw plenty of dramatic racing action. The annual event saw dash, heat and feature winners receiving produce from local farm markets.
The late model 35-lap feature was a back-and-forth battle between Mike Ward and Jacob Muncy as the two exchanged the lead late in the race. Muncy prevailed after taking over on lap 24 and secured his third feature of the season. Ward held on for second, Brian Reeser was third, Jim Lewis Jr. came in fourth and Ross Klinglehoffer was fifth. Muncy carried the checker for the dash, Curt Frazier was the heat winner and Brian Fries was the fast qualifier.
The modified feature saw a bunch of battered race cars and a messy restart. When the green flag dropped again it was fast qualifier Greg Stapleton who took over and claimed his third win of the season. Mike Carroll, Daniel McPherson, Chris Parker and Carl Stapleton rounded out the top five. Ross Klinglehoffer was the dash winner with Brad Yelton and Carl Stapleton winning heat races.
