Wesley Pickering, 69, at large, was charged Thursday with 10 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
Adult Parole Authority officers caught the registered sex offender with a smart cellular phone, a black binder with pornographic images of children, a portable audio visual player, videotapes, zip ties, a deputy’s badge and name plate, a new coloring book and other items in his car and a storage unit in the Indian Lake area.
Pickering is reportedly homeless but staying with relatives in the area.
He was convicted in Allen County of gross sexual imposition and sentenced in 2002 to 15 years in prison. He was originally charged with rape, pandering sexually oriented matter and illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance.
He was released from prison on Oct. 19, 2016.
As part of his parole, he was prohibited from having phones capable of taking photographs or videos or accessing the internet.
Officers observed a photo on his phone that was included in the binder.
