Southeastern’s girls basketball team used a second-half burst to pull away for a 52-35 win over host Riverside on Saturday.

The Pirates are now 0-2 on the season and the Trojans improve to 3-0.
Riverside led 9-8 after the opening quarter, but Southeastern went on a 13-8 run in the second quarter to lead 21-17 at halftime.
Southeastern pushed its lead to nine points (36-27) at the end of the third period.
Marissa Davis and Kalin Kreglow each had eight points to lead the Pirates and Shelby Giles had seven points.
