Sandra Dawn “Sandy” Heilman, 66 years old, passed away suddenly at her home Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Sandra was a 1976 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and a 1980 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She was employed at JPMorgan Chase and Co., Columbus, Ohio for 20 years in the bond trading department, reaching the level of vice president. She had some on-going health issues since an injury at work in 2013, but her passing was unexpected.
From her youth, Sandy demonstrated a passion for animals by always being the one in the family to feed the animals every morning. She and her brothers were active participants in the Logan County fair. Her friends and family will remember her kind and giving disposition, and her love of Char, her pet German Shepard. She collected “Hall” ball jugs. Sandy was a huge Ohio State fan and collected many items and keepsakes of her beloved university. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sandy was born December 16, 1957 in Bellefontaine to the late George and Maxine (Woodruff) Bowsher and numerous aunts and uncles who have preceded her in death.
She married Patrick R. Heilman on July 24, 2000, in Gatlinburg, TN. They were high school sweethearts who came back together later in life. He survives along with his three sons, Brandon (Natasha) of Bellefontaine, Garth (Carleen) of Myrtle Beach and James “J.P.” of Bellefontaine; five grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Sandy) of Bellefontaine and Mike (Marsha) of East Liberty; nieces and nephews, Jason (Jo), Josh (Betsy), Shannon (Mark), Chris (Monica), Jacquie and Leslie (Brad).
