Ruthanna Tynan, 75, of Bellefontaine, OH passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
Ruthanna was born on July 22, 1946, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late John Max and Isabel Beck Eley.
Ruthanna is survived by her two children, Robert K. (Tammy) Gooding of Mesa, AZ, and Ronae K. Gooding of Athens, OH, her life partner of 29 years, Greg Levan, Greg’s son, Clark (Lucy) LeVan, and grandsons, Carter, and Luke, and three siblings, Connie Osborne, Dwayne Eley, and Chester Eley.
Ruthanna was a 1964 graduate of Indian Lake High School. She worked as a Registered Nurse and retired from Logan County Health District. After retirement, Ruthanna enjoyed traveling with friends and visiting family, both in America and overseas. Ruthanna was a devoted and active member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Russells Point, OH. She enjoyed spending her time with Greg, volunteering for her church, and watching Carter and Luke’s sporting events and activities.
Reverend Shawn Landenwitch will officiate Mass of Christ Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, at St. Mary of the Woods Church, 464 Madison Ave., Russells Point, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation will also be Tuesday, January 25, from 5 to 7 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery. It is requested that attendees be symptom free and wear a facial covering.
Memorial contributions may be given in Ruthanna’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
