The Rushsylvania Village Council filled a vacant solicitor position and hired a part-time employee during the regular March meeting Monday evening.
Zeb Wagner, a partner with the Bellefontaine law firm Thompson, Dunlap & Heydinger, was hired as the solicitor at an annual rate of $5,400 to prepare for and attend one council meeting per month and handle other general legal duties for the village. Additional work will be billed at $175 per hour, Village Clerk Diane Rader reports.
