Headliner change announced due to illness
Shine FM and RV Wholesalers are partnering for the seventh summer in a row to present Rock the Lake 2021 Saturday, Aug. 7, at Old Field Beach at Indian Lake State Park in Lakeview.
Rock the Lake provides fun for the whole family and includes uplifting music, food vendors, a triathlon and more.
A highlight of the event is a concert beginning at 4 p.m., with national Christian recording artists Big Daddy Weave performing as the headlining act. The group is well-known for their hit titled, “Redeemed” and newest release, “All Things New.”
Representatives from Shine FM reported Monday this is a change from previously scheduled headliner Zach Williams, who contracted COVID-19 over the weekend and needed to cancel.
“Please be in prayer for Zach as he is home resting and recuperating. Big Daddy Weave is the new headliner. They were part of the event in 2017, and thankfully were willing and available to fill Zach’s slot on such short notice.”
The rest of the performing lineup with Colton Dixon, Cain and Apollo LTD remains the same.
Attendees are encouraged to take a blanket or lawn chair for seating.
Reserved seating tickets are available for purchase for those who wish to sit close to the stage and attend a question and answer session with Big Daddy Weave or meet and greet with Colton Dixon.
The weekend also includes the Night of Worship at 7 p.m. Friday, and triathalon beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday. Full details with the weekend’s schedule are available at RocktheLakeOhio.com.
