Robert “Bob” L. Luebben, 79, of Lakeview, passed away unexpectedly, Monday morning, Feb.19, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
Bob was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Columbus, a son of the late Walter and Marguerite Karn Luebben. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and a sister, Patty Fleming.
On Feb. 15, 1975, Bob married Barbara Beacom in Marysville, and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Kimberley Haines of Grove City and Lori Moore of Pioneer; three grandchildren, Kelly and Corinne Haines and Joshua King, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was a graduate of Grove City High School. He and his family owned and operated Grove City Hardware for 45 years. Bob was a member of Indian Lake Community Church in Russells Point. He was also a member of Indian Lake Moose Lodge 1533 and Indian Lake Eagles Aerie 3615. Bob enjoyed showing quarter horses, boating on Indian Lake and riding snowmobiles.
Pastor Jim Ellington begins funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb.24, at Indian Lake Community Church, 120 N. Orchard Island Road, Russells Point. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 115 N. Main St., Lakeview, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given in Mr. Luebben’s name to Indian Lake Community Church and the Union County Humane Society.
