CONNOR COTTERMAN |
After a tremendous prep career at Riverside, Connor Cotterman is looking forward to the next step of his football journey.
Cotterman, who was named to the Division VII all-state first team as a senior, recently decided on Wittenberg University as his college home.
“They have a rich tradition and I wanted to be part of that,” said Cotterman. “They have not had a losing season since the 1950s, and I hope I can contribute to more success there.”
Wittenberg is second among all NCAA Division III football programs with 736 wins. The Tigers have won four national titles and 30 conference championships.
Head coach Joe Fincham’s career record of 164-37 ranks him in the top five among active Division III coaches and in the top-10 all-time.
“Wittenberg is an excellent place for Connor,” said Riverside head football coach Tim McGill. “He will have the opportunity to get a great education and be part of a very successful program under Coach Fincham. All of Coach Fincham’s success speaks volumes about the type of coach he is, and I know Connor is looking forward to being coached by him.”
