Bellefontaine’s boys track and field team wrapped up its season Friday at the Division I regional meet at the University of Dayton’s Welcome Stadium.
The Chieftains saw Dezmin Lyburtus place eighth in the 110 hurdles.
Justin Clayton finished 12th in the 3,200.
The top four placers in each event advanced to the Division I state meet next Friday and Saturday in Columbus.
A sophomore who has enjoyed a breakout season for the Chiefs, Lyburtus recorded a time of 15.79 for his eighth-place performance in the 110 hurdles.
Clayton, a junior, finished 12th in the 3,200 with a time of 9:59.41.
He also qualified in the 1,600, but chose to scratch that race in order to concentrate on running in the 3,200.
