Richard A. Amerine, 63, of Zanesfield, passed away Friday evening, July 15, 2016, at the OSU University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born in Bellefontaine on July 10, 1953, to Ralph B. Amerine, who survives in Zanesfield, and the late Patricia Ann Vance Amerine.
Rick married the former Patsy Linson on Feb. 10, 1974, in Bellefontaine, and she survives, along with his daughters, Courtney (Christopher) Frederick and Tiffany (Shane) Cawley, all of Columbus; three grandchildren, Gabby, Lizzy and Tristen; a sister, Cindy Amerine of Zanesfield; an uncle, Richard Vance of Bellefontaine; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1971 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School and Urbana University alum, Rick worked nearly 34 years at Honda Transmission, most recently as a buyer. He was very active with the Benjamin Logan Music Boosters and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Rick was family-oriented and loved his grandchildren. He would always put family before himself. Rick enjoyed traveling and was a member of the former Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Rick’s life will be celebrated by the family from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Café 212, 212 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, where friends are invited to come share a story or special memory with the family. A private family burial is in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
