Reverend Thomas Bell, 71, of DeGraff, passed away at 1 a.m. on Monday, February 15, 2021, at his son’s home in London, Ohio. He was born on August 27, 1949 in Chillicothe, a son of the late Noah and Virginia (Lancaster) Bell. Tom was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jane, Barb, and Sandy; a brother Junior, and an infant brother.
On June 16, 1970, Tom married the former Jean Long in Waverly, and she survives, along with their two sons, Jared (Tricia) Bell and Mark (Heather) Bell; five grandchildren, Taylor (Daniel) Pritchard, Nathan Bell, Logan Bell, Adam Bell, and Noah Bell; two brothers, Bob (Eleanor) Bell and Terry (Sharon) Bell; and several nieces and nephews.
After graduating from high school, Tom attended Ambassador Bible Institute in London, Ohio to study and prepare for Ministry. He was privileged to serve as Pastor to churches in Ohio and Indiana. He also served at the Ohio Assembly of God District Office as administrative assistant to the superintendent. Tom served his Lord in Ministry for 45 years retiring in 2015.
He and his wife enjoyed camping with their family and riding four wheelers. Tom and Jean enjoyed riding his motorcycles and taking trips together.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Bellefontaine First Family Assembly of God, 2833 U.S. 68 S. in Bellefontaine. Reverend Steven Conrad will officiate a funeral service at 6 p.m. following the visitation.
