Logan County Electric Cooperative held its 80th annual member meeting Tuesday, re-electing board of trustees incumbents Doug Comer, District 5, and Warren Taylor, District 7, to additional three-year terms, and voting in new member Scott Hall, District 6, to a three-year term.
Members and staff paid emotional tributes to Emerson Snapp of Huntsville, who retired from the Logan County Electric Cooperative board after 39 years of service.
Member Wayne Wickerham recalled his decades-long friendship with Mr. Snapp, and Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives’ Vice President of Statewide Services Doug Miller praised Mr. Snapp’s leadership and mentoring skills.
Mr. Miller further noted LCEC’s pre-eminent role within the statewide cooperative network, along with its championing of the seven guiding principles that distinguish electric cooperatives.
Members were apprised of LCEC’s American customer satisfaction index score of 91, currently the highest ACSI score among electric cooperatives in the nation, which measures member approval of the co-op’s management dexterity and consumer experience.
