The DeGraff Village Council failed to meet quorum for a regular meeting Tuesday, but that didn’t stop a group of over a dozen residents to announce an effort to remove members of council, and to call into question the personal behavior of the council president.
As a technical matter, council had enough members present at the municipal building to conduct regular business.
Councilwoman Kassie Staley has informally submitted a letter of resignation to council because she wants to become the fiscal officer. However, council hasn’t met since she announced an intention to resign, and has not formally accepted her resignation.
She was present Tuesday, according to those in attendance, but declined to join her peers at the council table.
