Central Ohio’s economic growth continues to rival the best areas in the nation, according to Site Selection magazine’s latest ratings for top metropolitan and micropolitan areas.
Bellefontaine was among the nation’s leaders in the magazine’s micropolitan ranks.
The state finished second in total number of projects with 467 behind Texas with 594. In the projects per capita, Ohio was third behind Nebraska which had just 110 projects and Kentucky with 248 projects.
New facilities and expansions included in the analyses had to meet at least one of the three criteria: involve a capital investment of at least $1 million; create at least 20 new jobs; or add at least 20,000 square feet of new floor area.
