FAIRBORN — Errors and mental mistakes came at a very inopportune time for West Liberty-Salem’s softball team.
The Tigers, who developed a reputation for sound defense throughout the season, were hurt by two errors and several other miscues in a 4-2 loss Wednesday against Bishop Ready in a Division III regional semifinal at Wright State University.
“This was just uncharacteristic of us,” said WL-Salem head coach Kenleigh Farris. “Anybody could win this game on any given day. We needed to be cleaner than what we were.”
