Raymond Leroy Spires, 55, of Belle Center, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 16, 2020, at his home.
Ray was born in Kenton, on Sept. 25, 1964, to William and Sandy (Hereld) Spires, and they survive in New Richland.
He married Wendy (Mutters) Jacobs on May 17, 2019, at Indian Lake, and she survives in Belle Center. He is also survived by his children: Patty (Chris) Evans of Lakeview, Shelly Keykens of Bellefontaine, Teather (Jason) Faulder of Russells Point, Kyle (Shayne) Spires of Marion, Gaven Spires of Colorado; three step-children: Steven Henry, Jessica Henry, and Caleb Jacobs; 20 grandchildren; three brothers: Billy Spires, Roger Spires, and Terry Spires; several nieces and nephews; a special aunt Sherry Dugan of Lakeview; and his beloved dog Pete.
Ray was the best tree trimmer around, and he loved to farm. He was an avid coon hunter and holds many PKC world records. Ray was a past member of the Indian Lake Moose and Sons of AmVets, he was a current member of the Indian Lake Eagles. A true outdoorsman, Ray loved boating and sitting around bonfires. He was a big NASCAR fan, Ryan Newman was his favorite driver. Ray loved to play pool.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Roundhead Cemetery, with Pastor Grant Ingle officiating. A procession will form at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center, at 12:15 p.m. Monday for the graveside service.
