Randall L. “Randy” Erwin, Jr., 73, of Lewistown, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Dayton VA Medical Center.
Randall was born on June 24, 1948, in Columbus, a son of the late Randall L. Sr., and Lorena Harrison Erwin.
Randy is survived by four daughters and eight grandchildren, Lien (Hai Truong) Nguyen and their children, John and James, of Buffalo, NY, Loree (Matt) Tupper and their children, Tyler and Blake, of Boca Raton, FL, Lisa (Clint) Cummings and their children, Cade and Wyatt, of Hillsboro, and Lindsey (Jeff) Soklin and their children, Kaycee and Noah, four sisters, Kay Gibbons, Judy (Nevin) Oldfather, Randa (Greg) Lewis, and Shirley (Doug) Henning, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Randy was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran serving during Vietnam where he earned the Silver Star. His first love was his daughters and grandchildren. He was a longtime member and Past Commander of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 in Lakeview. He was also a member of VFW Post #1080 and Moose Lodge #2563, both of Bellefontaine.
Reverend Bryan Meadows will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is Monday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. with Amvets services at 7:45 p.m.
