Ralph O. Hall, 85, of Belle Center, passed away Tuesday evening, June 14, 2016, at The OSU Wexner Medical Center.
Ralph was born in Columbia, S.C., on May 21, 1931, to the late Leon and Mattie Bundrick Hall. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Hall; two nephews; and a niece.
Ralph married the former Peggy Williamson on May 25, 1957, in Indiana, and she survives in Belle Center, along with children, Patty (Jimmy) Johns of Illinois, Robin Dickinson of Bellefontaine, Ralph (Deb) Hall of Belle Center, and Brenda (Ron) Horne and Missy (Scott) Horne, all of Bellefontaine; eight grandchildren, Mark, Brian, Matthew, Travis, Tia, Tricia, Josh and Jarrod; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Claudia (Harvey) Shealey of South Carolina.
A graduate of University High School in Columbia, S.C., Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired after more than 30 years at HBD, where he was a mixer operator.
Ralph was known as Colonel Hall and was the owner/operator of Golden Boy. He had previously sold cars for Barton Oldsmobile and was an avid sports fan. Ralph was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the 664th Squadron of the U.S. Air Force, American Legion Post 173 and the Indian Lake Moose 452. Ralph also enjoyed the Belle Center Coffee Club.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in the gazebo at Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, with military honors by the Logan County Veteran Honor Guard.
