Benjamin Logan’s softball team held on for a 2-1 win over host Urbana on Tuesday during Central Buckeye Conference play.
The Raiders are now 12-6 overall and 9-5 in the Mad River division, while the Hillclimbers slip to 8-12, 3-9.
“The team is starting to jell,” said Ben Logan head coach John Stahl. “We are on a little roll right now, and, hopefully, we are starting to hit on all cylinders before the tournament.”
Ben Logan scored first with a run in the fifth inning. The Raiders squeezed out another run in the seventh inning to take a 2-0 advantage.
Urbana pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh, but Ben Logan was able to hang on for the one-run victory.
Tahlsa Bowshier went 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI to spark the Raider offense. Kinzie Jones had a triple, while Kierstynn Terry went 2-2 and Haley Wilson went 2-3.
