Bellefontaine Middle School eighth-grader Camren Hinkle, foreground, paints a spooky face on a pumpkin Thursday during interactive parentteacher conferences at the school, accompanied by his brother, fifth-grader Landen, and his mother, Jean. Art teacher Melanie Antram- Ingraham and media center aide Joanna Reser said they wanted to feature the pumpkins in honor of the first day of fall, which is today, and previously have hosted “Paint and Pop” nights with canvas painting at parent-teacher conferences. Also throughout the evening, students and parents offered “15-second” tours explaining what they like about their school, and participants were able to meet new school resource officer Allen Huffman, and try 3-D modeling software Sketch Up Pro.
